Thanks so much for reading, enjoying, and especially for lovely betaing. The formatting got borked when I copied it into LJ (no idea why), so that caused some of the errors.

Couldn't resit the Twilight dig. I originally said "as a sparkly vampire", but Hubby thought it should be a little less overt.

Unless it's a phrase I'm not familiar with, I think it should be "angling" for the ring.

That's probably what I meant, yeah. Unless I was thinking she was dangling herself in front of him like meat before a dog. Angling would make more sense.

That should be "undue".

It should have been pleased. Just a typo. Good catch.

Just a thought - "low blow" sounds really American. But the only substitute I can come up with might be out of date and I'm not even quite sure I'm phrasing it correctly: "not cricket". I'll dig around and see if I can find what I mean
