That's right, you're trying to quite caffeine, aren't you? Good luck with that. :) My avoidance of them is really no big deal because I never got onto them. I didn't like "the fizz" in soft drinks as a child, so I always refused pop. I already explained the coffee thing a little. Basically, when I was in high school Mom and I frequently had a conversation that went something like this:

Me: "Ugh, Coffee. It smells good but it's so gross. How can you drink it?"
Mom: "I started drinking it in college when I had to stay up late writing papers and studying for tests. I'm sure you'll pick up the coffee habit in college too."
Me: "No I won't."
Mom:

So I resolved not to, and I haven't. I think she's right that I'm a bit too fanatical about independence at times. I mean, it's good for me to not have the coffee habit, but the fact that I avoided it simply to spite my mother isn't all that healthy.
