Prompt: "A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous."

They were going shopping for Neville's birthday, his first one since the war had ended. Harry was happy that his friend had found happiness since those dark days. He had started studying for a Mastery in Herbology under Professor Sprout. He was also dating Hannah Abbot and Harry secretly expected their engagement to be announced any day now.
Inwardly, he sighed. It would be nice to have someone special in his own life, but he and Ginny had never gotten back together after the war. Honestly, it was for the best, but that did not stop the loneliness. Not that he was alone. He was out with his best friend, trying to find something for the boy-who-could-have-been.
"How about a plant of some sort?" Harry asked.
"But he already has so many; we wouldn't want to duplicate something," Hermione objected.
They thought for a minute. "What about something Muggle? I bet most of his plants are magical."
"Not a bad idea. We could get fruit trees or something; that's practical as well as pretty and fun to grow," he suggested.
"Sure. I'll look for a Muggle nursery," she offered. A few minutes later she had consulted a yellow pages and was back with an address. They Apparated to the alley behind it and went in to shop.
Hermione was quickly overcome with choices. "We could get the lemon tree or the orange or the peach – Neville likes peaches – oh, and some strawberries, and maybe a rose bush or two because Hannah loves roses. And..."
Suddenly, Harry realized there was only one thing he could do. She was getting too worked up and she looked so cute and earnest. He leaned over and captured her lips with his. Hermione let out a slightly surprised squeak, but after a few breathless moments, she returned the kiss enthusiastically.
Harry thought that Neville's birthday was his new favorite holiday.
